WVACTE Fall Meeting

- The meeting was called to order by Budd Sapp
at 7:00
PM.
- Minutes from the spring meeting were
unavailable.
- The Treasurer's Report was given by Cindy
Kelley. Before expenses for this
meeting, WVACTE holds a balance of $13,337.84.
- Budd indicated that he submitted
the AACTE Annual Report online using data provided by Cindy
Kelly.
- Budd announced that the
terms for officers were up this year and that a new two-year slate
would need to be submitted. Earl Nicodemus moved to keep Budd as
President. Jo Blackwoord seconded. Sally Digman
move by acclimation that the current three officers, Budd Sapp,
President; Cindy Kelly, Treasure; and Roxann Humbert, Secretary
remain. Everyone agreed. The floor was then opened
for nominations for Vice President. Sharon Smith was
elected by acclimation.
- Spring Meeting
- The group decided to hold the
next meeting on Feb. 23-24, 2006 at either the Radisson in Morgantown
or the Stonewall Resort and Conference center depending on availability.
- Roxann suggested that Nancy
Sturm, Education Technologist from the Governor's Office speak.
- Anne Nardi suggested that the
meeting be similar to the one held last spring at the Raddison.
The group agreed.
- The group decided that proposals
should be presented around the theme of technology and specifically
math and science integration with technology.
- A planning committed was
formed. Members volunteering to serve on the committee included:
- Sally Digman
- Anne Nardi
- Roxann Humbert
- Cindy Kelly
- Budd Sapp
- Sharon Smith
The
meeting adjourned at 7:30 PM.
